Delivery from Holmes Hill Furniture
Delivery is free for orders over £500; we only deliver to East Sussex, Surrey, Hants London and Kent. Please remember to measure all staircases, hallways and doorframes in addition to the place where you would like to place the furniture so that the driver and assistant will be able to locate the furniture for you safely and quickly. Please remember when taking furniture round corners the space on either side of the doorway must be large enough for the furniture to go round. Failed deliveries are typically charged at £25. This also includes occasions where the driver is unable to deliver to you due to; of lack of directions or driver is unable to fit goods into your property. It is important, and it’s your responsibility to check all of these details before delivery please. At the time of ordering we will give confirm a delivery date with you. We deliver most items on our own transport to minimise damages that third party non furniture delivery people can cause. It is best to call the shop on the morning of delivery to find an estimated delivery time. We will then be able to give you a time give or take 1 1/2 hours. Any information to help us find your address is much appreciated especially houses with names instead of numbers... Our drivers use satellite navigation, if your house is difficult to find please also ensure that we hold your up to date telephone numbers so the driver can ring you for directions. Any products that are in stock can be delivered within 2-4 days With your prior permission we can arrange for a driver to leave goods on your property in a secure location of your choice, or alternatively with neighbours. In addition our drivers can call you at an allotted time before your delivery arrives if you need to get home to take receipt of your goods. If the driver is unable to deliver the goods on the prearranged day you will be charged £25 for the failed delivery. Please be aware to keep our prices to a minimum our drivers are neither insured nor contracted to take furniture upstairs, even in first floor flats, For health and safety reasons we cannot guarantee that our driver will be able to take the goods upstairs or locate the furniture into the room of your choice. It is up to the drivers to ascertain whether they feel comfortable lifting the goods. Our Drivers will not build Flat packed furniture. The amount of delivery slots is limited and therefore we do not have the time to take away old furniture.
