Holmes Hill Furniture was opened on 11th Sept 04 and in that short time has become the largest Real Wood Furniture shop in the area. No one for miles around, infact in the south east carries the amount of stock and has such a varied range on display that we do.
The shop was opened as a partnership between Jeanett McFagan and Robert McFagan who have over 40 years experience between them in the furniture trade. Personal service is so important to the company and is regarded as a cornerstone of the business. When you go to shop at one of the large national retailers more often than not you end up with inexperienced sales staff selling you an overpriced product with poor delivery.
When things go wrong you end up speaking to a premium phone number and have to wait for another four weeks to sort out if ever. Here at Holmes Hill if we have a problem it is usually sorted out within a couple of days if not the same day. If we let you down on delivery we will lend you furniture to keep you going and we give you a price match promise to guarantee you great prices. All this has kept our growth rate at over 30% per year since we started as Polegate Pine over 6 years ago.

Brought some Pinetum Furniture from Holmes Hill after finding it cheaper here than anywhere on the web. The service from Holmes Hill was exceptional but it was a shame it was not matched by Pinetum. The furniture came in awful and was only rectified by the helpful staff from Holmes Hill and the four service visits to rectify the faults including one service visit on a bank holiday when the owner came out himself to sort a problem out with two hours notice. It really helped to have brought from a company that cares about its customers unlike Pinetum who did not even reply to my letter of complaint to them. In the end i sent all the furniture back which Holmes Hill advised me to do and i replaced it with their Solid Oak Range which i am more than happy with. I don’t think any other online company would have given the same service and would advise anyone to stay away from Pinetum and always buy from a local company that offers a Price Match and gives excellant service like Holmes Hill. They have now told me they have cut right back on Pinetum due to the “Quality problems.
